If you are shopping around for flooring, ask any salesman if they will be installing your floor as well. I think we both know the answer to that one. Think about who will be coming into your home to do your floors the next time you are shopping in a large, corporate home improvement center. You could go through numerous outfits, spend countless hours searching, before you ever even meet the actual installers.

To be honest, by the time the installer does get out to your home they are only getting paid a fraction of what you actually paid for the installation. Salesman and the companies that are involved with the process make up to three times as much as the actual person that is installing your floor! This is why there are so many botched jobs and endless repairs from any of the larger companies and their installers, because of poor communication and little respect for the installer. I know this firsthand.
